Thank you Gaenor
After 9 years on the Kemnal Board, Gaenor Bagley has stepped down as the Chair of Trustees.
Gaenor said: "I was very interested in joining the Kemnal Board because of the complexity of the challenge, the chance to make a difference, and the opportunity to support over 20,000 pupils in our 45 schools."
Before joining Kemnal, Gaenor had a 30 year career in professional services. This involved a variety of leadership positions, including at Board level. When asked about her Kemnal highlights, Gaenor said: "There are so many highlights. I particularly enjoyed the school visits, such as to see all the costumes on World Book Day and to talk with the pupils. And one of the Trust's successes has been to develop a culture of bringing everyone together, of collaborating and sharing, and of achieving more together."
Gaenor is continuing with her portfolio of other non executive roles in government, higher education and financial services. Hopefully, Gaenor will bring her commitment, skills and experience back to education as well one day.
Her colleagues said: "It’s been a privilege working with Gaenor over the years and we have learnt so much from watching her carry out her role. Gaenor's strategic vision and her ability to challenge supportively have led us through a key period of change and she leaves Kemnal schools poised to go onto even greater success. Gaenor never forgets that the children should be at the heart of every decision we make. We owe her so much and wish her all the best!"
