Early Career Framework

Teachers at the start of their career will not only receive a warm welcome into the TKAT family but can expect a package of support and development that will help them master their skills and start their teaching journey in the best possible way.

The Early Career Framework (ECF) is an entitlement to a structured 2-year package of high-quality professional development.

The early career framework is the evidence base which underpins this new entitlement for early career teachers’ professional development.

It sets out what all early career teachers should learn about and learn how to do during the first 2 years of their careers.

It includes sections on:
  • Pedagogy
  • Curriculum
  • Assessment
  • Professional behaviours
  • Behaviour management

We work in partnership with The GLF Teaching School Hub to deliver the Ambition Institute Early Career Framework Programme
