TKAT's Seymour Primary School is selected as a DFE Attendance and Behaviour Hub School

TKAT's Seymour Primary School in Crawley has been selected as a DFE Attendance and Behaviour Hub School.

This not only recognises the highest quality culture, education and strategy using our 'Trust 5 Attendance Approaches' at Seymour Primary School, but also their successful outreach work supporting other TKAT schools.

Mike Garlick, TKAT's Director of Inclusion and Attendance said:

"I am delighted that the very strong attendance and behaviour approaches at Seymour have been recognised and that they can support other schools on their journeys. If you are fortunate to receive advice and support from Seymour Primary School, I know you will find it positive, proactive and impactful"

Carol Collins and Emma Eardley, Co-headteachers of the school said:

"We are extremely proud of our exciting, vibrant school which is part of a dynamic and diverse community - from the moment you step inside we want everyone to feel a sense of warmth and belonging as a valued member of the Seymour family.

We work hard to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality as poor attendance and punctuality affect children’s personal, social and academic skills. We expect all children to arrive on time and attend school every day.

We want to make sure that it is everyone’s responsibility to encourage good attendance, so we keep our parents and carers informed about how they can support this."

TKAT have produced a useful guide for parents and carers called 'The Importance of School Attendance' which outlines ways to support your child to achieve good school attendance, and contains helpful resources. You can read it HERE.
