A great day was had with a packed room of Early Years practitioners last week. Over 45 professionals from the Primary sector joined together at TKAT HQ for a special Early Years conference.

The keynote speaker was special guest Andy Burt from 'Early Excellence', who led a really motivating morning around developing communication and language through the outdoor provision.

The importance of the adults and their role outside was a key focus, as was high quality planning and organisation of resources to support pupils independence and communication and language. 

The afternoon was led by Sara Walton on using PECS (Picture exchange card system) to support pupils with communication difficulties which again gave us some incredibly helpful practical ideas for introducing the card system to pupils in a successful way.  

Colleagues shared ideas and best practice throughout the day - thank you to all who participated in this successful event.
