Young Gentlemen at TKAT’s The Mill Primary Academy

Posted on: 29th Nov 2023

It was congratulations all round this week, as pupils at TKAT’s The Mill Primary Academy in Crawley completed a 10 week Young Gentleman’s programme with the Standing Ovation Project charity.

The programme is designed to help boys from ages 8 to 16 to cultivate qualities to enable them to become Young Gentleman and become positive leaders. The key focus is to work with hard-to-reach pupils promoting positive role models and looking at areas around being a Young Gentleman.

The boys took part in lesson areas such as empathy, kindness, compassion, and love for others, personal conduct in and out of school, and modelling responsible behaviour.

The pupils completed interactive workshop on social responsibilities including preparation for public speaking.

Certificates were presented at a school assembly, and personal pledges were made by the boys for change within home, school and community. The Young Gents earned a special YGP tie, awarded to them in recognition of their efforts and achievements.

The leader of the programme, Anthony Daulphin said: “The boys have made tremendous progress and I couldn’t be prouder!'

Well done to all involved.
